Bubbly, talented and vivacious Amanda Antony, 22, from Port Elizabeth, was eliminated from Idols SA last night. She did not secure enough of the 6.4 million votes required to make it through to the Top 6.
“First I didn’t even make it to the Top 16, and then I made it all the way to Top 7!” Antony joked after she had left the stage.
“I am feeling disappointed that I am out.”
“But I am not discouraged because this is what I love to do. This is going to be my life.
Antony said that she is so grateful to have been part of the show.
“It was an extraordinary experience that I will hold close to my heart for years to come. ”
Before entering Idols SA this year for the second time, Amanda completed her Music studies at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University.
Apart from selling 50 million albums like her mentor Jennifer Rush, her long-term goals include opening her own recording studios.
