After four cities, weeks of travel and thousands of star hopefuls, the Idols SA audition tour for 2016 has come to a close.

More than 1600 people defied gloomy weather to attend the Johannesburg leg of Idols SA auditions held at Carnival City – and where hopeful stars go, musical instruments and theatrics are not far behind. The snaking queues had their fair share of guitar strummers, harmonica players, dancers and jesters.
Idols SA judges called them dynamic, some gave them hope and some gave them a “wow” moment. The Idols SA season 12 auditions in Pretoria certainly delivered a mixed bag of talent for the judges.
