Due to overwhelming demand, an extra show by multiple SAMA winning band, Mi Casa, at Sibaya has been announced for this coming weekend.
Just back from a whirlwind international tour of London, Italy, Portugal and Canada where they performed crowd favourites like “These Streets”, “All the Glory” and “Jika” in sold out venues, Mi Casa is thrilled to bring the experience home to their KwaZulu-Natal fans.
The concert is part of the Cornetto Dare to Love Tour that has also seen the band perform in Cape Town, Bloemfontein, and Port Elizabeth, with a final show still to come in Johannesburg.
The Cornetto Dare to Love Tour was born out of a dare from Cornetto to the band to take their music, and particularly that of their highly anticipated new album Home Sweet Home, to fans across South Africa. Cornetto and Mi Casa are thrilled to be able to present these hot new tracks, including thebreakout lead single #Chocolat, to their fans in five cities across South Africa, spreading love and friendship through music.
Mi Casa is best known for its brand of soulful house music, that merges dance music, jazz, vocals and disco. The band has been making waves on the local music scene for a number of years but the name Mi Casa was firmly entrenched in 2011 when the band was chosen as the opening act for American rapper Drake when he performed in Johannesburg.
Mi Casa is comprised of three talented individuals: Dr Duda, producer DJ; J-Something, vocalist and guitarist, and Mo-T, trumpeter, withtheir musical talents blending to create a distinctive sound.
The first show on Friday, 30 October is sold out. There are tickets available for the second show on Saturday 31 October. Tickets to the show at Sibaya’s Krakatoa are available at Computicket at R120 per person.
